Throughout the UK 100,000 worn tyres are taken from vehicles on a daily basis. This totals a startling 40 million tyres (440 000 tonnes ) per year.

The UK community recovers value from 70% of these tyres. From 2006, when the landfill ban has been enforced, the UK will need to recover a full 100%.

We take our responsibilities seriously, and all scrap tyres collected from our depots are only handled by authorised carriers. Lodge Tyre Co Ltd itself is an authorised waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency (BIR/074176). Copies of certificates of registration and waste transfer notes are available on request.
