Lodge Tyre History

About Our Company

George Edmund Lodge founded The Lodge Tyre Company Limited in Birmingham in August 1935, mainly selling car tyres and accessories. Recently the company has grown immensely, both through single store organic growth, and by acquisition of other multi-store chains, Kingsway Tyres (Stamford) Ltd and Tyreforce NW Ltd, being the largest recent examples of this.

From a modest turnover of £7m in 2001/02, the company has seen over a ten-fold increase in its revenues in the past 20 years, and now handles all major tyre applications and vehicle maintenance work over the majority of Central, Eastern & North West England and North Wales.

To this day it remains a family concern, offering the same high levels of personal service that has driven its long success. With over 50 trading sites and around 430 well trained  staff, an industry leading breakdown call centre and 280 service vans, Lodge Tyre has become a major player in the UK tyre dealer market.
